“The main reason I am making music is because it is the best way to express how I feel. It is also a great way to connect with people, especially those in the audience. Sometimes I write a song with a certain theme just so I’ll be able to embody a character to play the part and it turns out to be a whole experience for me. I started getting into playing music because it is such a rush to do it and to write it and play it in front of an audience just amplifies that rush by 1,000… Sometimes I feel like I’m a lightning bolt. It’s a trip. “

“I don’t even feel like I wrote this album. Everything I wrote before the age of 19 feels like another person wrote it because i have grown so much since then. I really enjoyed the process of recording the album to the point where I was rearranging the structure of the song “Calavera” over 5 times since it was written. I wanted to invite a different perspective so I made it more third person. When the record came out, it felt like I had taken a high school dream and made it come true for someone who had passed away. Someone who passed away because it was me before the person I am now.You can’t expect anyone to understand what you’re saying but you hope it makes sense in their heart and that is what i hope those listening get out of this record.”

“It was a lot of fun to make this record, I really like to record by myself. I played all the instruments by myself. I didn’t use a click track or any vocal tuning. It was just guitar, drums, base and vocals. I kept it simple because it sounded cool with less stuff and a bunch of fuzz.”
